If you happen to work for the CIA or MI6 and need a vehicle that provides you with the ultimate protection without taking away the luxury and performance, Range Rover can accommodate your needs.
At £360,000 or around $550,000 U.S, this one of a kind off-roader is the most expensive Range Roger ever built and first ever luxury armored vehicle billed as a ‘mobile fortress’ with the comfort and capability of a 4×4.
Based on the Range Rover Autobiography, the team in Range Rovers Special Vehicle Operations developed a vehicle capable of withstanding grenades, gunfire and just about anything a bad guy would want to throw at you.
Built around a six-piece armored cell, made of super high strength steel and multi-laminated bulletproof windows, that will halt penetration of up to 7.62mm high velocity armor piercing incendiary bullets, 15kg TNT blasts and DM51 grenade explosions from both beneath and above.
The Sentinel also has anti-tamperproof exhaust, a self sealing fuel tank, back up battery and a split charging system and for some additional options, you can ad an under-bonnet fire suppression system, a siren and external speakers. Other upgrades include privacy glass an upgraded suspension and giant 380mm front and 365mm rear ventilated disc brakes with high-density pads.
On and don’t worry if you’re concerned about the wheels being shot out, the Sentinel come with 20 inch split-rim alloy wheels with run-flat inserts capable of being driven with deflated tires.
Last but not least, the heart of this beast is a 335bhp 3.0-liter V6 supercharged engine originally from the Jaguar F-Type and XE-S.
Expected to be sold in the UK, Europe, Africa, South America and the Middle East, each purchase comes with a 50,000 mile warranty and driver training program.
Built to special order, Range Rover is taking orders now.
