If Spike Lee went back to portraying his fictional character of Mars Blackmon for the Nike commercials, his latest might play out something like this: “Do you know why the white/grey Air Jordan IV’s you just copped only four years ago are set to release this Saturday? Huh? Do you know, do you know, do you know? No Air Jordan, No Air Jordan, No Air Jordan!

That’s right, Nike will be crushing the wallets of many sneaker heads this weekend with the much sought after release of the white/cement Air Jordan IV (AKA Buggin Out’s) that hasn’t seen the shelves since…2012?
Perhaps to a sneaker amateur that seems ill advised, but for the Jordan aficionado, an Air Jordan IV sans the Air Jordan logo on the back of the shoe is the closest they will ever get to finding the horcrux that is a dead-stock O.G. This isn’t anything new from the brand, which re-retroed the Air Jordan III donning the iconic Nike Air instead of the Jumpman in 2013.
Retro versions of Jordan’s, and sneaker releases in general have always been similar to movie re-makes and sequels, as both parties are giving their respective target audiences what has already been known to work/sell. So if you missed out on the original release, make sure not to sleep on them this time.
Keep an eye out for them this Saturday February 13th as they drop in stores and online, but be ready for that hefty price tag.
