Christopher Bailey’s men take the catwalk at the center of London Fashion Week amongst frilly fabrics at the Burberry Prorsum Spring Ready-to-Wear show.
While the collection showed heaps of peplum jean jackets and honey bee motifs for women, we got a peak at the menswear on the catwalk. Full of casual street edge and trendy London dapper, the seven men’s looks showed true boldness with colors inspired from vintage nature textbooks, and a nod to Vivienne Westwood’s “Pharrell” hat – a clear uptake from floppy bucket hats spotted in the streets.
As always, the “Burberry trenchcoat” made an appearance, this time, in vivid hues of bright violet and particular shades of green to remind us of the theme of the collection, “The Birds and the Bees.”
Playful sneakers and man purses mirrored the show’s graphics with slogans like “FLOWERS”,”BEES”, and “ADVENTURE” sprawled across the catwalk.
