The IKEA Museum will display relics and vintage pieces spanning the Swedish company’s 73-year existence. The idea behind the museum was to help boost tourism in the Älmhult region. The museum will also host many installations much like in its stores, curated with themes and stories from customers. Many familiar goods will be housed here including the Klippan sofa and the Billy bookshelf, which have been some of the most profitable items ever sold by the company. The IKEA Museum will open June 30th, visit the IKEA website for more details.
