Over the summer there have been a lot of changes in the world of headphones. In early May, Apple bought out Beats by Dre and Sol Republic has aligned itself with the big guns of the DJ world, Calvin Harris and Steve Aoki. But, don’t let that stop you from trying the new Master & Dynamic’s MH40 headphones that emerged just this August. The stylish and sophisticated design moves away from the generic, flashy plastic that we have grown accustomed too and has given us well-built, sure to be long lasting headphones made for the discerning music lover and pro DJ alike. These even make your low quality mp3s sound good.
The sleek design comes in two colors, black and brown with silver accents. The body of the headphones are made from forged aluminum and high strain metal components which also include heavy duty woven cables. The headband exterior surface and ear cup insets are made out of heavy grain premium cowhide while the interior and memory foam ear pads are covered with soft lambskin to ensure the ultimate in comfort. But, what really got us buzzing is a new yet to be seen before mute button on the actual headphones so you can stop the music at your leisure without taking them off. Smart idea.
The signature MH40 are not only aesthetically pleasing, but sound quality is ever so important and they have that covered too, courtesy of Master & Dynamic’s 45mm Neodymium drivers that deliver high-performance. They are tuned and ready with great mid-range, low- end, and big bass. Perfect for the Ferrvor Man with an ear for alternative, emo rock and electronic dance music.
