Nestled in the corner of Sunset Blvd and Doheny is an un assuming, somewhat tucked away Karaoke Lounge called, Blind Dragon, which stems from prohibition era, illegal Chinese establishments, knowns as ‘Blind Pig’ or Blind Tiger,’ and has a cool, mod, risqué speakeasy, feel to the inside.

The hidden gem is an eclectic hot spot to many local elite LA natives who want to quietly party, or sometimes hard in their Opulent Lounge, while listening to a good mixture of funky deep house and sometimes 70s and 80s music. And or if you’re really want to get away from the crowd, go for the Opium Den, which is only available for those looking for complete privacy. And being a Karaoke lounge for those that want to get their rockstar on, Blind Dragon, has private ‘Sing or Die’ Karaoke Suites hidden in the back where you can seclude yourself in a state-of-the-art karaoke room and have your own stage for the night, performing Sing-A Longs solo or with friends.
The h.wood group’s Co-founder, John Terzian says: ” It’s the kind of place that brings people together. People drive to all parts of L.A. for that experience. For us, what we like about it, is that it’s a strong form of entertainment. Bring your own party, be in your own world, but also be out with everybody. If you are not into karaoke, you’re welcome to stay out in the lounge area. This is not your typical club version and not a bottle service type thing. ”
Ferrvor’s managing editor and creative director slid by one recent evening to try a few cocktails and check things out. We can only say it was a magical experience, worth seeing.
Blind Dragon is open nightly from 10p-2a.
