The new Prada Menswear Campaign for Fall/ Winter 2015 is a new wave dream. The release of the campaign brought us a series of photographs shot by the talented British photographer Craig McDean. The fashion house pulled together Scoot McNairy, Michael Shannon, and the fresh faced actor Tye Sheridan.
The ad stars these three remarkable male actors, each very diverse in their own ways. Shot in black and white, the photos depict a minimal setting with a little grunge vibe to boot. The only thing that separates each article of clothing is the slight detail of print between them. McDean also shot a short film for the campaign. Staring the same big name actors, they each take turns dancing in front of a monochromatic backdrop to the music of the 80’s band Siglo XX.
Appropriately named “Nothing more than is necessary”, is just what we are shown in the campaign. A strong influence on the clothing and the idea once again, that nothing more than that, is necessary.
