In 2011, Porsche introduced the Boxster Spyder. In October the vehicle returns with a punch that you won’t resist.
The 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder convertible has reduced weight, a stripped-out interior where you’ll find faux suede seats with an option to upgrade to leather, aero-optimizing additions, and an essential fabric roof, becoming more hardcore and faster with an engine that has 45 hp more than its Boxster GTS brethren, hitting 60 mph in about 4 seconds, achieving a maximum speed of 180 mph.
To compensate for even greater speeds, the model does not come equipped with a radio or air conditioning, but don’t let that be discouraging, those features can be installed with no additional cost as optional equipment.
The Spyder has brakes from the 911 Carrera S, manual stick shift and a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine makes it the lightest and fastest Boxster vehicle.
Cruising up the PCH getting some sun is going to be a lot more fun. Grab your checkbooks gents, the Spyder is expected to price at $82,100.
