The French-founded, Peugeot, is a leading brand in the world for manufacturing oddly tableware and automobiles. An interesting mix to say the least. Well, they’ve now taken their auto skills and created the ultimate Peugeot foodtruck experience, Le Bistrot du Lion.

Just like the country they reside in, Peugeot, is known to embrace the culinary world and the automobile industry. Designed to appeal to all the senses: sight, taste, smell, sound and touch. According to the Head of Peugeot Design Lab, Cathal Loughnane, “We wanted to create a complete food truck experience, not only creating a kitchen for the chef but a restaurant and cafe for the customers. A lot of attention was given to opening up the kitchen and allowing the chef and food preparation to be as close to the public as possible. We also wanted to create a real sense of surprise as the compact Peugeot Foodtruck transforms into an amphitheatre like dining space Le Bistrot du Lion.”

The food truck opens up to include a gourmet food prep, dining and refreshment area all set to feed up to 30 people, with Umbrosa parasols provides shaded comfort. The experience is capped off with a full-fledged DJ booth, launched by the Peugeot Music platform that offers web radio and exclusive playlists. How’s that for a unique and cool dining experience?

Le Bistrot du Lion will debut beginning April 14 at Milan Design Week, and continuing around France at the French Pavillion at the 2015 World’s Fair, and Expo Milano.
