New York Fashion Week Mens is buzzing with excitement as menswear designers unveil their 2016 collections. One noteworthy collection, that never ceases to amaze, was Tommy Hilfiger’s Spring Summer 2016 Collection. Held in a penthouse at the Chelsea Arts Tower, the collection was showcased as a presentation with 24 models sporting the latest from the Hilfiger brand.
The collection was inspired by a glamorous holiday vacation in the 1950’s. “When making a journey, stylish was just as important as the destination itself,” said Tommy Hilfiger. That’s exactly what we see from this collection. It begins with a modern take on a Honolulu business man. Brightly colored suits get a new age taste by pairing them with stripes in dark colors. The small details make the suits look refined and relaxed for that perfect summer getaway.
Other pieces have calm sportswear details. Giving the clothing the perfect fit for travel and fun. The mixture of classic silhouettes and modern details give this island bound collection a sophisticated mood. The color pallet stays neural with pops of bright colors. Which also gives a nod to 50’s details.
The mood was all set by adding a tropical floral background. It was an ideal island getaway full of luxury and style. A true necessity for Tommy Hilfiger.
