Memorial Day Parade
Nothing says tradition like a good old’ fashioned parade, and Memorial Day is no stranger to them. Get ready because the festivities in Chatsworth, Canoga Park and surrounding areas will be covered with floats. Now in its 27th year, the Parade will be held on May 30th rain or shine! It will begin at the intersection of Sherman Way and Owensmouth Ave and will continue through till it ends at the First Baptist Church of Canoga Park at Sherman Way and Cozycroft Ave.
MAINopoly: A Taste Of Main Street
For those with more of an appetite, Santa Monica will be hosting MAINopoly, a fun new way to taste test the best foods and drinks from Main Street. Experience Main Street’s best restaurants, coffee shops, juiceries and more at this year’s 3rd Annual MAINopoly: Taste Of Main Street. The event is a play on the classic monopoly board game. There will be twenty-two participating locations throughout Santa Monica. Each location will provide a tasting to attendees and stamp their game board. Visit every spot on the board for your chance to win a “Taste of Main Street” Prize Package. What fun would it be without some costumes, Monopoly themed attire is encouraged! Topanga Days Festival
In case you’re more in the mood for an all-day event, the 43rd Annual Topanga Days event will feature 3 days of great fun. More than 30 bands will be rocking two stages throughout the weekend. Let’s not forget about the food, plenty of vendors offering BBQ, pizza and even vegan selections. Theirs even prize winning games and a kid’s zone, plus a parade! Fiesta Hermosa In Hermosa Beach
Memorial Day weekend in Hermosa Beach means fun in the sun. Catch the Fiesta Hermosa, a three-day festival that has been around since 1972. Here you can find whatever your heart desires. It is considered one of the largest arts and crafts fair in Southern California. The outdoor event will be host to two stages offering bands all weekend. It’s also equipped with a petting zoo and rock climbing wall. If you’re looking for range, this fair offers over 18 different kinds of ethnic foods. Fiesta Hermosa will be open from 10am to 6pm all weekend long.
Valley Greek Festival
Do the words Greek delicacies make your mouth water? Than the 43rd Annual Valley Greek Festival is for you! Greek delicacies are the main course at this festival. But the Mediterranean delights are just the tip of the ice berg. You can find everything from Greek inspired jewelry, music, and even pottery. This party also runs late, running from 12pm to 10pm.
